Crowns, bridges, veneers

Dental prosthesis: Dental crowns, dental bridges, dental veneers

We offer a full spectrum of dentures for all cases. This may include fixed crowns and bridges; removable dentures, complete or partial; precision attachments to dental implants or natural teeth.

Crowns

01
The dentist prepares the tooth or teeth - reduces the size of the tooth or teeth - and makes a temporary crown so that the functional and aesthetic aspects are maintained.
02
The dentist takes an imprint of the prepared teeth with a high-precision rubberized material. The dentist cements the temporary restoration that will cover the prepared teeth until the next step in the dental office.
03
The imprint is sent to a dental laboratory and the crown, veneer or bridge is made according to the dentist's prescription.
04
During the next appointment, the dentist will try on the crown, veneer or bridge to check the fit, shape and color. If the restoration requires modifications, additional appointments may be necessary. Please note that we show you the final restoration before cementing it.
05
The crown, veneer or bridge is cemented onto the prepared tooth or teeth during the final appointment. The longevity of a crown varies depending on the severity of the damage to the tooth, the quality of the bone and gum support, the materials used and the occlusion, i.e. the way the crown makes contact with the opposing teeth.

Veneers

The veneer looks like a crown but with the difference that its preparation leaves an external part of the natural tooth (a part remains intact).

Bridges and Partials

If you do lose a tooth, you usually need to have it replaced with a prosthesis to prevent the neighboring teeth from moving out of position.
01
The fixed partial prothesis (or fixed bridge) (see next point). A fixed partial denture is permanently attached to the neighboring teeth and replaces one or two teeth. You cannot remove this type of bridge on your own.
02
The removable partial prothesis (or partial). The removable partial denture is held in place by attachments that cling to neighboring teeth or implants. It replaces several teeth and can be removed for cleaning.
